New Blog: Beyond Covenant

Covenant Baptist United Church of Christ is a progressive urban ministry in Southeast Washington, DC. The church, under the leadership of Pastor Dennis W. & Christine Y. Wiley, has an active social justice ministry which, through partnerships with community organizations, works to inform and educate the church and the broader community about the most critical social justice issues facing our world today.

To that end, Beyond Covenant– a social justice blog– was established to take the message of liberation, equality and fairness beyond the walls of Covenant Baptist UCC. This blog features the writings of contributors both within the congregation and outside of it. You will also find recommended readings and films.

As we seek to bring awareness regarding these often controversial and sensitive issues, we hope you will be inspired to not only join the conversation, but to also get involved in your local community.
